The lens is equipped with special coatings such as 2 Aspherical lenses and 3 ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lenses which greatly suppresses both axial chromatic aberration and chromatic aberration of magnification; a superb aperture speed of f/1.4 which works well in low-light conditions; Lens Focusing which is a double focus system – helping to achieve a sensor drive at a maximum speed of 480 fps, which leads to extremely fast and high-precision autofocus; an 11-blade circular aperture diaphragm; and lastly, the lens construction is dust/splash/freeze-resistant – which is something that any photographer will appreciate.
